The PROTEA UCITS II – ECO ADVISORS ESG ABSOLUTE RETURN fund uses ESG related factors as the driver of security selection and performance, combining this with sophisticated portfolio construction & risk management techniques in order to provide a stable and consistent absolute return.
The fund aims to provide a return uncorrelated to equity markets, with low volatility, low drawdown profile and minimal exposure to systemic risk factors.
In addition to the above, the fund also has an ESG impact objective: the fund seeks to ensure appropriate alignment on key ESG metrics evaluated across our long and short portfolios, such as Corporate Governance, Carbon Emissions, Product Carbon Footprint, and Health & Safety. The fund seeks to have a positive ESG impact in its investment allocations at the portfolio level, and to demonstrate this to investors by reporting on fund ESG characteristics. The fund regularly reports on a series of key ESG metrics in order to demonstrate to investors that capital is being deployed in a manner consistent with the ESG impact objective.
