UKSIF Response: ICE Phase Out and ZEV Mandate

The UK Sustainable Investment and Finance Association (UKSIF) welcomes the opportunity to respond to the Department for Transport’s consultation on phasing out sales of new petrol and diesel cars from 2030 and supporting the zero emission vehicle transition.

We are very pleased that the Government has pledged to reintroduce the 2030 phase out date for new internal combustion engine vehicles, as well as maintaining the operation of the zero emission vehicle mandate. This will help to restore confidence among auto manufacturers and investors that the UK is a leading market for EVs and associated infrastructure.
