Jamie Melrose

Senior Investment Analyst, Guinness Global Investors

Jamie joined Guinness Global Investors in 2019 and serves as a Senior Investment Analyst on the firm’s Sustainable Energy strategy. He has been instrumental in building the company’s approach to Responsible Investment, supporting Guinness in becoming a signatory to the UN PRI, pioneering its impact measurement and reporting process, and helping to establish the business’s Responsible Investment team.

Prior to Guinness, Jamie worked on the sell-side at Berenberg as a Thematic Equity Research Analyst, specialising in battery technology, and at Railpen as an Investment Manager in Sustainable Ownership, where he developed expertise in ESG analysis, stewardship, and impact investing.

Jamie has been actively engaged with UKSIF for several years. He served on the UKSIF Analyst Committee (now the Industry Development Committee) from 2017 to 2020, chairing the committee from 2021 to 2022, and currently serves on the UKSIF Membership Committee.

He is a CFA and CAIA charterholder and holds the CFA Institute Certificate in ESG Investing. Jamie graduated from the University of Bath with a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics.
