Our approach to sustainable finance continues to be forward-thinking. We were an early entrant having provided advice on Ethical, Sustainable and Thematic (EST) investments since our inception in 2003. We pride ourselves on the fact that we have always believed our approach to sustainable finance, which considers issues such as resource efficiency, clean energy and the environment, would ultimately provide positive returns.
We believe that the inclusion of ESG factors in investment decisions is essential in the pursuit of long-term out-performance and mitigation of risk. We offer a variety of EST portfolios that enable clients to direct their wealth towards sustainable solutions. Our process utilises a range of collective funds which follow different ESG mandates, deploying a mixture of negative screening and positive ESG integration into their analysis. This approach and the funds themselves seek out companies providing solutions to environmental issues, whilst screening out companies that engage in unethical practices. Where appropriate, we have a history of investing in smaller-scale alternative projects such as wind, recycling, waste and solar which take advantage of tax-related benefits.
