UKSIF response: House of Lords Environment and Climate Change Committee inquiry on behavioural change
UKSIF was pleased to respond to the Lords Environment and Climate Change Committee inquiry exploring behaviour change in the context of climate change (mitigation and adaptation) and the environment (e.g. biodiversity, water, waste & the circular economy and air pollution). The main focus of the inquiry is on behaviour change, while the Committee is interested in the wider conditions needed for people to make changes and the sequencing of related policy measures.
Our response highlighted our members’ role in contributing to positive behavioural changes, specifically through reflecting savers’ sustainability preferences and wishes in investments, and how policymakers and industry can work together to drive forward the growth of the sustainable investment market in the UK.
