UKSIF response: Consultation on Invest 2035- the UK’s modern industrial strategy

We are pleased to respond to government’s consultation on Invest 2035: the UK’s modern industrial strategy, which we hope will quickly contribute to the development of a coherent Industrial Strategy in the UK- that many business groups and investors have recommended for some time- and crucially a strategy that has economy-wide decarbonisation among its key objectives.

Alongside various business groups (e.g. CBI, MakeUK) and other investor-led associations, the UK Sustainable Investment and Finance Association (UKSIF)- the UK’s leading membership organisation for sustainable finance- believes the time has come for a new Industrial Strategy in the UK that explicitly recognises the considerable investment and growth opportunities that can be created across the country through the low-carbon economy.
