Letter from UKSIF, IIGCC and PRI to the Prime Minister on UK’s transition to net-zero
Alongside IIGCC and PRI, and over 30 investors and financial institutions, we have written a letter to the Prime Minister in response to his speech on net-zero on 20 September.
The letter expresses our organisations and our members’ deep concerns by government’s recent proposals to backtrack on vital policy measures that support the UK’s transition to net-zero. The letter highlights concerns about how this may impact the investment community, and has support from our organisations’ members that represent over £1.5 trillion in assets under management (AUM). It follows UKSIF’s previous recent letter to the PM published in August.
This letter was developed in consultation between IIGCC, UKSIF, PRI and their members/signatories. The views expressed here do not necessarily represent the views of their entire memberships or signatories, either individually or collectively.
