UKSIF – Committee Members
We are pleased to announce that UKSIF is seeking a number of new Industry Development, Policy and Membership Committee members to advise and support the effective delivery of UKSIF’s work and help us to deliver our mission of boosting the growth of sustainable investment and finance in the UK.
We are looking for individuals with a broad range of specialisms and interests from across the UKSIF membership community.
Industry Development Committee
We seek candidates to fill four vacancies on the committee. The committee helps to shape our strategy on industry development, knowledge sharing and member convenings, helping us to determine the emerging and most ground-breaking issues facing the industry and is invaluable to our events and knowledge sharing programme, advising on priority focus areas and serving to ensure that we achieve our mission of delivering clear, concise content while driving forward the understanding of sustainable finance issues and solutions between organisations. The committee advises the UKSIF team on topics most prevalent in the industry, recommend speakers and help to shape strategy. We are keen to receive applications from a wide variety of industry backgrounds, from individuals keen to shape and grow the strategy of the events and knowledge sharing programme.
Membership Committee
We seek candidates to fill four vacancies on the committee. The Membership Committee is crucial to effective member retention and engagement, membership growth, and the strategic direction of the UKSIF membership offering. This committee has a direct line to advising how UKSIF deliver on the mission to drive forward at pace the growth of a more sustainable economy and financial system. This committee also serves as the key point of contact for our Ambassador cohort, ensuring a strong connection between UKSIF and its Ambassadors, who play a crucial role in promoting our mission. We welcome applications from candidates with relevant experience focusing on network connections within sustainable finance, integrating ESG factors into strategic planning, driving strategic growth and direction within industry, or acting in an ambassadorial role of a membership organisation or other association.
Policy Committee
We seek candidates to fill six vacancies on the committee. The Committee plays a vital role advising on UKSIF’s public policy programme, helping to promote industry-leading policy positions with government, regulators, and other stakeholders and effectively shaping the operating environment for our members in regards to sustainable finance issues. Although a purely advisory Committee with UKSIF determining formal policy positions that progress our mission, it is the main forum among our membership to shape this work. We are particularly keen this year to receive applications from candidates with regulatory expertise on sustainability topics and experience working on wider climate policy, as well as candidates from the following membership groups to ensure the Committee reflects UKSIF’s wider membership network as far as possible: banking sector, infrastructure and private markets focused investors, and financial advisers.
Information on the committees’ current membership is here. New members are elected from the nominations by the existing committees. Successful candidates will be elected for a two-year term, with the opportunity to re-stand after this for one further two-year term, and once elected members serve the Committee in a personal capacity.
