UKSIF’s response to the Environmental Audit Committee’s inquiry focuses on the government’s recent response to the recommendations of Professor Sir Partha’s Dasgupta Review of the Economics of Biodiversity, including how biodiversity could be more meaningfully incorporated into its policy decisions, and the vital need for the UK to shift from GDP as the key indicator of prosperity and towards sustainability factors, which we know have a considerable impact on the long-term value of the economy.
