In our response, UKSIF argues that BEIS’s consultation is an opportunity to build on the UK’s current leadership on climate disclosure.
We call for a more ambitious scope to cover a broader range of companies impacted; scenario analysis for companies to ensure they take reasonable steps to undertake this; and for government to signal its support for the principle of advisory shareholder votes on companies’ disclosures at AGMs.
