What the fid is going on? Changes in trustees’ investment duties and how they affect you28 June 2019
Date: 28 June 2019, 8.30am – 11am
We are delighted to invite you to this member-only event to discuss the implementation of the fiduciary duty statutory instruments.
Last year the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) introduced new regulations, which clarified trustees’ duties to consider financially material ESG factors, non-financially material factors and their stewardship activities.
As a result, pension schemes will be required to address these factors in their statements of investment principles (SIPs) by October this year.
These new regulatory requirements not only have the potential to drastically increase assets being managed in a sustainable and responsible manner, they also mean trustees will need to ask more questions of their investment advisers and fund managers.
With less than 4 months to go until SIPs will have to be updated and published, UKSIF will give an overview of the statutory changes and invite members across the investment chain to share questions, comments and insights on how these changes might affect them.
