ESG Data Analyst – Pension Protection Fund (PPF)
ESG Data Analyst
The Pension Protection Fund (PPF) is looking for an ESG Data Analyst to work with the Head of ESG and other members of the team to provide support to the PPF’s ESG and climate data strategy.
The job-holder will be responsible for helping to evolve the ESG integration practices of the PPF across a multitude of asset classes (public, private and real assets). The successful applicant will be expected to contribute to assessing and manipulating the required ESG and sustainability data, determining materiality and relevance across the spectrum of ESG data sources and standards, applying a consistent approach and advancing further development. In addition, you will have a key role in the evaluation of data providers and the data quality of the identified sustainability data.
We’re looking for applicants with proven data management capabilities that have a good degree (ideally Masters level) from an economic / mathematics background (or other financial discipline); who can progress complex ideas and policies through their advanced analytical, decision-making and strategic thinking skills.
Ideally, you’ll have an interest in investment or have an investment background, and you can undertake quantitative analysis in an ESG-related context. Finally, you’ll be able to model research in Excel/VBA, have some familiarity with Python (or similar); and have sophisticated verbal and written communication skills allowing you to present this and other technical information to a number of diverse stakeholders.
