UK Sustainable Investment & Finance Association (UKSIF) announces today that Simon Howard has informed the board of his intention to step down after seven successful years as the CEO of the organisation. UKSIF’s nomination committee will be initiating a search for a new CEO to lead of the organisation for its next phase of growth. Simon will remain CEO until Fall 2020 until the search process identifies a new leader for UKSIF.
Michael Meehan, UKSIF chair commented,
“Simon and his team have brought UKSIF and its members to the forefront of responsible investment in the UK over the past seven years, and have positioned the organisation very well for the rapidly changing sustainable investment landscape. It has been a privilege to work with Simon, and on behalf of the UKSIF board, members, and partners, I would like to wish Simon the best of luck in his future endeavors and thank him for his leadership and service to the responsible investment movement.”
Simon Howard commented,
“It has been a fantastic period, working with great colleagues and members, with a wide variety of other stakeholders. As people within UKSIF know well, there has been a transformation in the UK scene over the period as we and many others have sought to change the way finance is done. Our successes in the regulatory and campaign areas have been notable and UKSIF is well-positioned for the future – a future where a new element, mobilised public opinion, will begin to accelerate further change.”
