    01 November 2017

This event is organised by Access to Nutrition

    1st of November 2017, 14:35 – 15.15 pm CET / 09.35 – 10.15 am EST

On November 1st, a webinar is planned to share with investors the current work of the Access to Nutrition Foundation (ATNF), the next Global Index and preparations of the first US Index. This call is for all investors interested in learning more about the ATNF indexes and how they can be used to assess the risks and opportunities for food and beverage companies on nutrition practices, and be used as a tool in company engagement.

ATNF’s mission is “to improve consumers’ access to better nutrition”. The aim of the Access to Nutrition Indexes is to encourage companies to increase both access to healthy products and to responsibly exercise their influence on consumers’ choice and behavior. Nutrition has become a global public health priority in the last few years which is reflected in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs); two of the 17 SDGs are directly linked to nutrition while 12 of the 17 goals cannot be reached without actions in relation to nutrition.

ATNF works extensively with the investment community to ensure that the Index is a useful tool for investors as they engage with and invest in food and beverage companies. To date more than 55 investment firms have signed the Access to Nutrition Index Investor Statement. They collectively manage over USD 4 trillion in assets. Investors recognize that health and nutrition are among the most important drivers of future growth in the food and beverage sector and that those manufacturers that are most effective in anticipating and responding to these factors will be better positioned to deliver superior and more sustained financial performance over time.
