  • MPs say FCA must act on Law Commission’s ESG findings by end of year – PensionsAge

    The Environmental Audit Committee has called on the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) to act on the Law Commission’s findings and clarify the duty of contract-based pension schemes in relation to environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors. 

    In a Committee report, Greening Finance: embedding sustainability in financial decision making, published today, 4 June 2018, it said that there is a “worrying disparity” between the trust-based schemes, regulated by The Pensions Regulator, and the contract-based schemes overseen by the FCA.
