The Sustainable Finance category, organised by the City of London in association with UKSIF, seeks to recognise and reward innovation and best practice in all areas of sustainable investment and finance that support sustainable economic development, enhance quality of life and safeguard the environment.

Whether a product, service, initiative or bespoke research report, this category’s applications should advance sustainability through financial services and deliver clear environmental and social benefits.

This year’s awards will focus particularly on health and wellbeing initiatives. In April, a YouGov survey found that more than half of all employees suffer from burnout, severe anxiety and physical and emotional exhaustion in the workplace. We hope this year’s focus will encourage applications from businesses and organisations which put staff wellbeing at the forefront of their business strategy in particular.

If you would like to apply, or nominate a candidate for the Sustainable Finance category, or if you require more information, please email lisa.stonestreet@uksif.org.

The closing date for applications is Monday 30 November 2015.

Last year’s Sustainable Finance winner was Ethex, for creating the UK’s first not-for-profit platform for positive investors, whilst ’highly commended’ awards were presented to Shared Interest Society, a unique fair trade lender, providing loans and credit services to businesses and communities in the developing world, and sriServices for their work to advance sustainable and responsible investment in retail financial services.
